Peter Carey

Peter is a partner having joined the firm in 1983 as a trainee when it was based in Manchester.

Peter qualified as a solicitor in 1986 and besides having a wide involvement in commercial matters also has experience of property litigation matters.

His client base ranges from private individuals with property and investment portfolios through to small building companies and Housing Associations. Peter advises other non-business/ non-property experienced firms of solicitors and other professional and their clients in business and related property transactions.

Peter deals with general corporate, commercial property law and business transactions. He has particular expertise in commercial landlord and tenant and construction law matters. Peter acts predominantly with landlords, Housing Associations and building development clients. Several of these clients have charity status and advice is tailored to the particular needs of such organisations. Peter is a member of the Charity Law Association.

Peter also spent 13 years as the Chair of Governors at a local school. He is also been company secretary to various companies and board member of a building company and a road haulage company. Middleton born and bred, he has strong local contacts and connections. He is a committed member of BNI Moonrakers Chapeter and has recently become a member of Rochdale RUFC.

He is a keen sports fan and active football supporter. He enjoys tinkering with computers, walking, yacht sailing and avoiding gardening. Having recently taken up golf he is now seeking to improve his handicap.
