Claire joined Sedgwick, Phelan and Partners as a paralegal in October 2003 before moving on to become as a trainee solicitor in September 2004.

Claire worked as an administrator for several years in both the public and private sectors before going to university to read for a Law degree in 1998. After graduation, Claire worked for Tameside Welfare Rights dealing with such things as employment law and benefit rights before going onto work for a firm of North West solicitors.

In the early days of her career Claire dealt mainly with personal injury cases but as she gained experience moved into the area of divorce/separation matters, ancillary relief, private children matters, matrimonial conveyancing and co-habitation matters.

Over the last two years Claire as a progression from her involvement in matrimonial property work has become increasingly involved in mainstream residential property matters where she has built a valuable client centred practice.

In her spare time, Claire enjoys socialising, foreign travel and listening to music. Claire’s claim to fame is that she was once Oldham Metropolitan Swimming Princess and swam with David Wilkie!
